Community Engagement

IM team members are interacting with a broad range of stakeholders, including related efforts at DOE and other federal agencies, to gain insights into how IM3 capabilities could be used to support an even broader range of activities, to identify additional capabilities that we could potentially leverage, and to exchange lessons learned. Important topics include computational infrastructure, data management protocols, model assumption and scenarios, and upscaling/downscaling. Ultimately, we envision a national, community-driven program that can seamlessly bring together models, data, and analysts across institutions and disciplines to explore key human-Earth system science issues ranging from water stress and electricity expansion and operations to the vulnerabilities of key elements of interconnected infrastructure.

Advisory Team

We have assembled a diverse advisory team of leading researchers to help facilitate cross-fertilization with other key projects and engagement with the broader research community.
